Led by Mariana Da Cruz, born and raised in São Paulo and based in Berne, Switzerland, Da Cruz will take you to a different place: modern and urban Brazil, a country staggering between revolution and resignation. Blending Kwaito, Baile Funk, Afrobeat, Dub and Hip Hop, the music for their new album “Eco do Futuro“ is a decisively urban black record. Tagua Tagua is a new project by Brazilian composer and music producer Felipe Puperi, most famously known as the lead-singer of Wannabe Jalva. Tagua Tagua’s music is modern day indie with Brazilian percussion, African rhythms with hints of soul rock, ethereal and electronic elements. Luciane Dom is a Rio de Janeiro based singer and songwriter, and a wave of new generation of rising Afro-Brazilian artists representing Brazilian black music.
